Adobe Photoshop and Epson Inkjet Print, September 2024

4x4x4 in (10x10x10cm)

This piece explores paper craft and complex folds through experimental printing methods and design. By engaging with the tactile process of cutting, folding, and assembling, I investigate the material possibilities of print as both form and function.

At the heart of this work is a reflection on “tackiness” within the art world: a term often used to dismiss sentimentality, kitsch, or mass-produced aesthetics. Through deliberately playful colors, charming characters, and handmade techniques, I question what is considered tasteful or valuable in contemporary art, and who gets to decide what is tacky and what is not.
