Inspired by the Taoist tradition of burning joss paper offerings, this work reflects on sending comforts to loved ones in the afterlife. Today, offerings have expanded past paper replicas of money to include paper versions of luxury goods — iPhones, cars, even everyday objects like cleaning supplies and skincare products. Through printmaking and paper sculpting, I explore transforming paper into lasting forms that ender past life and how to carry nature’s fleeting beauty into the afterlife as Earth sinks beneath rising tides.
